    Description

    Offered for auction a "VINTAGE SCULPTURED HAND CARVED PAINTED WOOD PELICAN DECOY FIGURE". This Pelican is accented with subtle hand carved raised feathers and glass eyes.  The digital photos are not very clear and fail to display definition in the carved surface.  It is painted shades of grey and white with a pink bill.  Overall measurement: Width...8", Height...6", Depth...3".  It appears this pelican is trying to mimic the "Natalie Wood" tip-to-the-side head nod (photo 6), but is not quite able to pull it off; possibly due to a stiff neck. LOL.  This Pelican is in good vintage pre-owned condition with minor nicks, chipped paint and normal wear.  There is no maker's mark on the bottom or date of creation and is offered "as is".
