ONE YALE & TOWNE #1620 MORTISE LOCK w/KEY - CIRCA 1927 FULLY RESTORED (16110)
Vintage, featured in the 1927 Yale & Towne hardware catalog, very nice mortise lock with a heavy brass faceplate. Key works just fine, reconditioned, mortise lock is fully functioning and carries a YALE & TOWNE logo on the brass deadbolt.
Measurements as follows:
FACEPLATE: Heavy brass, 5 1/4" long, 15/16" wide, 1/8" thick.
BOX: Box is 3 1/4" deep from the front edge of the faceplate to the back of the box and it is 3 1/2" top to bottom.
SCREWS: Screw holes are on 4 3/4" centers.
BACKSET: Set back from the front edge of the face plate to the center of the knob post hole is 2 5/8".
DROP: The drop, the distance from the center of the knob post hole down to the center of the round portion at the top of the key hole, is 2 1/4".
KNOB POST: The lock accepts a standard 5/16" knob shaft or know post.
KEY: Functioning key provided with the lock.
REVERSIBILITY: The lock is reversible.
