    Description

    Early 1800's Suffolk style thumb latch handle in wrought iron, restored and completed with a replica bar set in steel reproduced in the old style.  Thumb press is flat and pinned with a straight lift which will accommodate a door up to 1 1/2" thick without modification.  Handle measures
    8  3/8" high x 2 1/4"
    across widest part of the cusps.  Hand grasp has a 4 3/4" grip opening and is 3/4" wide across the center of the flat handle.  A well executed early thumb latch handle showing even surface aging.  The bar set consists of a  6 1/2" bar, a 1 1/2" high drive-in staple with 1 3/4" drive-in prongs, and a drive-in jamb keeper 2 5/8" overall.  Purchase is for one complete wrought iron thumb latch restored and completed.
