    Description

    Circa 1820 antique Norfolk wrought iron thumb latch handle in wrought iron.   The f
    ull back plate measures 8 1/4" high x 1 5/8" wide.  The handle portion is about 4" high.  The thumb press is scooped and pinned on the back pivot with a straight wrought thumb lift extending out 1 1/4".  Nicely executed early American handle for a Norfolk style thumb latch, untouched and as found showing age, surface pitting, some rust and remnants of original finish.  Purchase is for single handle only.
